ME, MYSELF AND I

Beyonce reference... obviously! 

So let's talk about ourselves. You are you for the rest of your life. You have been given this body, and this soul and you are to do with it whatever you like. So why not do good? Why not make the most of your life and do exactly what you desire?

To do good in this life, we must feel good within ourselves first. Sometimes we have to treat ourselves as first priority. It's not selfish, it's just what we need to do in order to be the best version of ourselves. 

People benefit from people, and we bounce of each others energies. Choosing where to focus your energy is important. You might not realise, but the smallest negative thought can steal a good amount of energy away from you. (Positive thoughts have a higher vibration than negative thoughts which is great! But make an effort not to give those negative thoughts the time of day.) Choose to use your energy doing and visualising the things you desire in life. 

Now, YOU! What do you want to do in life? Are you doing it now? Do you want to do more? Are you happy where you are? Do you have dreams and aspirations that haven't yet come to fruition? Here is an excerpt from a book called the 'Manifestation Miracle.' This might give you some motivation to make sure that you do everything you desire in this life. 

"An Australian hospice care nurse called Bronnie Ware, recently conducted a study of terminally ill patients who were in the final few weeks of life. In her study, Ware asked these patients whether they had any regrets and whether there was anything they would have done differently. Here’s what most people said:

“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life that was true to myself, not the life that others expected of me.” 

I find this so sad. Imagine thinking that on your death bed? That you didn't live life on your own terms because of what others expected of you. Well I'm here to tell you that your life is your life and no one else's! Of course you're going to have people disagree with what you're doing with life. That will happen no matter what you do because we all have different views, values and opinions. 

In this day and age, I have heard and witnessed people not doing exactly what they desire, not because of what people expect of them, but because of what others may think about them. WHO CARES! It's time to let go, otherwise you will have so many regrets, just like these elderly people who were interviewed. 

When you're feeling a little lost in life I highly recommend reading some self help books, or the Manifestation Miracle by Heather Mathews. Mediation can also help. Quieting your mind and asking yourself what you truly desire can clear your mind and open you up to the answers you've been looking for.

Before you're ready to help other people, you need to focus on you. Figure out exactly what you want, and learn to master your thoughts and energy. Once you have, it will come naturally to help others on a spiritual path. Your energy will automatically give off positive vibes and people will be attracted to the energy you're giving off!

Snowball your Life into Happiness

It all starts with one thought, one feeling or one circumstance. 

We all have bad days, weeks, or maybe months. I'm here to tell you the easiest and most effective way to get yourselves out of these horrible ruts and turn your life around instantly. 

A friend and I were chatting yesterday about our travels and how we both got stuck in negative ruts while we were away. We felt alone and negative, which led to bad moods and negative outcomes. We were both away for months, it wasn't a holiday. (Just FYI) 

We both had a really similar path back to positivity and it made us realise how easy it is to get back to where you want to be if you have the right mind set. 

For me, it was definitely my mind set. I had in my head that I didn't like LA for many reasons. LA is an amazing place, it's exciting and there are so many opportunities over there. It wasn't until I got over the fact that I was 'alone' and in a 'tough industry' that things started to change instantly. All I did was change my mindset. Instead of thinking, 'I have no friends or family here,' or 'Why did I put myself in such a hard industry,' or 'This is a waste of time, energy and money,' I began thinking things like, 'I am here for a reason,' 'I'm thankful for the opportunities I have been given in the States,' and 'I have a bunch of friends and support over here.' 

Things honestly changed in a matter of minutes. I was so shocked, but at the same time it all made so much sense. What you put out, you get back. It's true and it's been scientifically proven so many times, so why do we not lean on this more? 

Something very similar happened to my friend. It was terrible weather where she was for a couple of weeks, which resulted in her having nothing to do. She started with one positive thought, and automatically felt better. Good things started snowballing from there... the sun even came out! When you open your mind up to positivity and possibilities, it's amazing the ideas and good thoughts that will pop into your mind. You might wonder why you hadn't thought of these things before? It's because you weren't in the right mindset, you weren't allowing yourself to be open to these ideas and thoughts. 

It's so amazing what will snowball your way when you change your mindset. The last two weeks of my America trip were incredible, and I believe I have myself to thank for that. I look back and I'm so thankful for how everything turned out. I'm even thankful for those few weeks where I was extremely negative and not wanting to be there. It's the bad times, and the negative times that shape us! It's how we deal with them, how we react to them and how we move on from them that make us learn and grow. 

Don't choose to give your negative feelings the time of day. Try your best to ignore them and train your mind to think of the positive outcomes, and how this negative situation might be helping you in the long run. We learn and grow so much from all our experiences, and we don't realise until it's over. 

So to snowball your life into happiness, start with one positive thought, and believe it. Enjoy the ride from there!

A Balanced Life = A Happy Life

"Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony." - Thomas Merton.

Family, friends, health, diets, fun, sleep, study, work, exercise. All of these factors are vital to a person's overall happiness. To some people balance comes naturally, to others it's a struggle.

You can work out how you need to balance your life quite simply. Grab some paper and a pen, and write across the top all the things that are important to you. Underneath, rate them out of 10, 1 being not important and 10 being extremely important. Under this, create another column with the same titles, but this time you're going to rate in percentage how much time you're giving each factor at the moment. Eg: DIET - 30% SOCIAL LIFE - 90% - WORK - 60% Here, it would become clear to me that I need to put more effort into my diet, and focus less on my social life, which should leave me more time to concentrate and improve on the work side of things. 

One thing to keep in mind is that everyone will have different expectations. You might rate the importance of work 90%, I might rate it 60%. Either way, there is no right or wrong. You know how to best balance your life in order to make yourself happy. Once you've done your list, have a good look at it, and think how you can best shift your life to make room for the more important things in your life. This isn't supposed to be a chore, or an assignment, so it's not like you now plan your week/months/lives around this. Take it in, and subconsciously your mind will become aware of what is more important to you, and what is less. Next time you're out you might find yourself thinking, 'I better leave the shops now and finish that assignment so I can get a good sleep', whereas before it wouldn't have even crossed your mind.  

Another thing that you may experience while you're trying to maintain a balanced life, is guilt. I have gone through it myself, and I have seen my family and friends go through it as well. An example of this is dieting. You might feel guilty because you're out with friends and end up having a few drinks, or a piece of the birthday cake, or you might feel guilty because you have some chocolate after dinner. Here's where balance can put our guilty minds to rest. It's a healthy lifestyle choice to have a balanced diet. I'm not a dietician, and of course it's going to be more beneficial to your body if you just eat veggies, meat, salad etc. But we should never feel guilty for treating ourselves every now and then. Let's face it, it's more fun and a lot more tasty when we do! As long as you're getting in your five food groups, there is no reason why you can't let go and enjoy yourself. Balance is the key! 

Along with figuring out the most important factors in your life, it's also important to figure out where your energy is going. It's so easy to give our energy to things we don't necessarily need or want to give it to. The two main things that I find take my energy is work and people. Your energy is important because you need it to live and to be yourself! Unfortunately there are negative people in this world, and their energy can drain you of your energy. Sometimes we have to be around these people, so it's important that you either change the subject, or try your very hardest to not let their negative energy, draw yours. As another example, if your work situation is draining your energy, concentrate on balance and how best you can even this situation out. You could go do some yoga and meditation on your lunch break, or talk to your boss about the work load. If your work is draining your energy to the point of no help, maybe it's time to consider another job. If it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't. There's something better out there that you were born for, you just need to figure out what that something is!

Remember, the only person who can make you 100% happy is you! You're the only one who knows what you really want and need in this life, and you deserve just that. So put time into figuring out your life. Once you do, act on it and you will start to be the most positive and happy version of yourself! Live the life that you want, and on your terms.

The Secret to an Abundant Life

The secret to an abundant life is pretty simple; It's believing that you have an abundant life. 

Did you know the brain can't tell the difference between imagination and reality? So therefore, believing and visualising that something is already so, will bring that something about. 

It's so exciting what we can do with our minds. The tricky part is continuing to make an effort in controlling what your conscious mind is thinking. We have between 50,000-70,000 thoughts a day, so it's normal that some of those thoughts are going to be negative ones. For some reason it's normal for us humans to think about the things we don't want to happen, rather than thinking about the things we do want to happen.

So step 1: Make an effort to control as many thoughts in your day as possible. If you find yourself thinking about something negative, change it right away to a positive thought. If you are having trouble getting out of a negative rut, think back to a memory that is bound to make you smile, or turn on an up-beat song that makes you happy. 

Step 2: Play make believe. You know how kids can play for hours with nothing but a doll or a car? They might be imagining this enormous race track, or a beautiful big doll house. Start to get excited like children. Visualise what you truly want to come about in your life. Feel the feelings you would feel when it comes about. Keep visualising throughout your meditation or throughout your normal day, until you believe the thing you're visualising is yours. 

Remember, the brain can't tell the difference between imagination and reality, so really you're tricking your brain into giving you want you want. 

Step 3: Be kind to yourself. No one gets far by beating themselves up. We all have moments of self doubt and anger, but the trick is to get yourself out of that asap, and start treating yourself like the most important and delicate person in the world. Negative self talk is destructive. Positive self talk can help you beyond belief. 

Dr. Masaru Emoto demonstrated through an experiment the powerful, energetic effect that our words and thoughts can have. Dr. Emoto got two containers of water and on one wrote words such as 'you fool', and on the other wrote phrases like 'i love you.' He froze both of the containers, and days later he took photos of the water crystals. The results were incredible. In every case where there were positive words and energy projected onto the water, the water crystals were frozen symmetrically in intricate patterns, some resembling diamonds. On the other hand, in every case where the words and thoughts were negative, the crystals were small, misshapen and deformed. 

Dr. Emoto re-performed this experiment over and over again with thoughts, photographs and music, both with either a positive or negative vibe, and the results stayed the same. 

Our bodies are filled with 75% water, so think what you're doing to your body with negative self talk. Next time you're disappointed in yourself, instead of saying 'ah, I'm so stupid,' say 'I am good at this, and it will work next time.' 

Having an abundant life is something that most people want. Having plenty of everything that you want is something that is easily achievable, and YOU are the only person who can attract this into your life. 

In a nutshell; Make an effort to control your thoughts, play make believe, and be kind and gentle to yourself. I can guarantee if you do this, you will feel and see results. You will feel better and more positive within yourself, and coincidences and positive outcomes will start arising before you. I know, because I have done it myself, and I know thousands of believers of the Law of Attraction have done it as well.

30 Day Challenge

Gratitude is one of the fastest and most effective ways to put yourself on a great frequency. Putting yourself on a positive frequency allows you attract all the things you are thinking, visualising and wishing for. 

When you are gracious, you feel lucky and happy right? You might be grateful for something small, like a pretty butterfly on your way to work, or good surf, or a stranger smiling at you. Or you might be grateful for something big, like your family, or winning something, or getting good grades. 

Whatever it is you're thankful for, focus on it and build on that positive aspect of your life! 

I love the YouAreCreators Youtube channel. They have such amazing meditations, and videos that will help you maintain a very positive journey. I was scrolling through their videos one night and came across a 30 day challenge. In this challenge, for 30 days you are to write down 30 things you are thankful for. PLOT TWIST: You can't use the same thing twice. Yes, that is 900 things in total that you will end up writing down. 

Of course there are 900 things in this world that you are thankful for! You just have to dig deep, and try to notice the little things that you might take for granted in a normal day. 

I am currently on day 18 of my challenge and I can't believe the effect it has already had on me. I'm in LA at the moment, living away from home and competing in one of the most competitive industries in the world. It's pretty normal for my emotions to go up and down because of this. This challenge has helped stabilise my emotions and has made me a lot more positive!  

Everyday we go on with our busy lives, we scroll through social media, we go to work, we socialise and go to bed. (Obviously I can't talk for everyone, but this seems to be a pretty popular routine people can get themselves into these days.) Sometimes we don't even take a minute to look around us, and notice all the amazing things in our lives. Noticing these things, big or small, and being thankful for these things is a very powerful tool! 

I promise you after doing this for a few days, you will notice positive changes in your life. Good things will start to happen to you, and around you. You will begin to attract everything you want, and everything you need. If you focus hard on those things you are thankful for, you will attract more of these good things into your life. 

The coolest part about this challenge is that you can write things that haven't already happened to you. For example, 'I am thankful for the huge pay check I got,' or 'I am thankful for my new dress,' or 'I am thankful I scored the tickets to the concert.' Be specific, and act as though you have already received these things. You should feel the same gratitude and excitement for everything on your list, whether you have it or not. 

So have fun, go crazy, believe anything can happen because guess what?! IT CAN! Anything is possible if you are on a positive frequency. You will know when you are on the right frequency. Amazing things will start to happen, everything will start going your way and you will notice 'coincidences' that will help you along your path.

Comparing Yourself to Others

We all get stuck in ruts from time to time. A common rut that girlsespecially seem to get stuck in, is comparing their life and/or feelings to others. 

If you've read my blog before, you will have heard this: You are your own person, you are no one else, and that is special. Someone else out there, whether you know them or not, admires you, and most likely compares their life to your life

A lot of girls are in denial of this. If you're self conscious, or struggle with low self esteem, you are probably thinking, 'pfft as if anyone wants to be like me,' or 'as if anyone wants my life.' Well, someone does! Because naturally, everyone wants what they don't have.  

A good way of resetting your feelings, and changing your negative thoughts into positive ones, is to view yourself from the outside. You can do this through meditation, before you fall to sleep, or just in everyday life. Imagine yourself floating out of your body, and viewing yourself from above. 

Start complimenting yourself. (And no, this is not up-yourself or vain to do!) Be kind to yourself. What physical things do you like about yourself? Maybe it's your hair, or your legs, maybe it's your fashion. What about personally? Maybe you like how you accept everyone, that you're a hard worker, or that you make everyone feel welcome? While you're looking at yourself from another perspective, pick every single thing you like about yourself, as if you are viewing someone else. We have no problem complimenting other people, so why do we have issues complimenting ourselves? 

After you have done this, you need to become thankful for those things that you noticed about yourself. Gratitude is one of the most important factors in the Law of Attraction. Being gracious puts you on a high positive frequency immediately. Staying gracious will keep you on this positive frequency, and soon the positivity will start bouncing back at you. You will know when you're on the right frequency, because you will feel GOOD! 

Same thing goes for feelings. We all feel differently, and we all respond to situations differently. For me, I remember times where I haven't understood why someone was so happy or so angry in certain situations. A. It's not our business, and B. We have no idea why other people feel the way they feel. I am a big believer in the saying, 'Be kind, for everyone you meet, is fighting a battle you know nothing about.' Next time you're about to compare your feelings to others, or feel that you might be about to judge someone regarding their feelings, say that quote over in your head. 

Another thing, is to not let other people's emotions affect you. You are not them, and therefore, it is not your problem. Of course helping someone who is in a tough situation is a great idea, but don't let their emotions, affect your emotions. Help where needed, and then remove yourself from that situation. Look after yourself.  

The last thing I want to talk about is; your own feelings. Never question why you feel a certain way. I have found myself comparing my feelings to others after we have been in the same or similar situation. That's a way to drag yourself into a deep hole of negativity! You're allowed to be sad, you're allowed to be angry and you're allowed to be negative! On your own terms. It's normal and sometimes refreshing to let it all out! BUT, just don’t wallow in it. Let the feelings out and move on.

Overall, you are you for a reason. Whether you believe me or not, there are people out there who are envious of an aspect in your life, just like you're envious of other people's lives. View yourself from an outside perspective, be proud of who you are, and be kind to yourself. You are perfect and amazing just how you are!

New Year, Not New Me!

A New Year is always a good time to set yourself some goals and to feel motivated about the year ahead. A lot of people see a New Year as a fresh start. Which is fine, but what I want to get across in today's blog, is that you shouldn't wish for a 'new you.'

It saddens me how many people I hear say, 'New Year, New Me.' No matter who you are, you definitely don't need to be a new you! If you're not happy with some of the decisions you made in 2016, you might need to become a better version of you, but definitely not a NEW you. 

No one else is YOU, so why try and be someone else? Think about people that you admire. It might be a celebrity, or a local hero, it might be your mum or a friend. Well, guess what? Someone looks up to you too. I know some of you are thinking, 'pfft, no they don't,' well stop it, because they do! You might not even know this someone, it might be someone you pass on your morning walk everyday that admires your hair, or your motivation. I used to absolutely admire this girl who worked in a local clothes store. I was infatuated (not in a creepy way) by her style, and her personality. But she had no idea! Everyone is admired in some way or form and that's what makes you special and different. 

The next thing is, don't be ashamed of 2016. We all make mistakes, and sometimes do things we aren't proud of. But don't beat yourself up about it and never think of any year as a waste. 

Another topic that seemed to be trending online this year was how horrible 2016 was. When bad things happen, it's so important to learn from these things, and take them as a lesson. Negative situations only help you grow. If we didn't have negative situations, we wouldn't have positive situations. If we didn't feel sad at times, we wouldn't know how good it felt to be happy. If you dwell on 'how bad 2016 was,' or how you 'shouldn't have done that,' or 'shouldn't have done this,' then you are only attracting more bad things to come your way for 2017. 

Change your tune. Be thankful for 2016. Be thankful for how you felt, and for what you learned. Today, you are better than yesterday, and you are only going to keep growing. You are human, everyone makes mistakes, everyone looses their temper, everyone is lazy at times. THAT'S LIFE! BUT make an effort in 2017 to improve. Try your hardest to be a better VERSION OF YOU, not a NEW YOU! 

TIPS TO BE A BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF:


  • Help more: In the community, with your family, your housemates etc. 
  • Donate: Donate your time or money to good causes. 
  • See rubbish on the street? Pick it up!
  • Only 'like' and post positive things on the internet. (I will never understand the dislike button on Youtube, and I never understand why people post comments to make other people feel uncomfortable.) 
  • DO NOT put others down to make yourself feel better. RAISE other people up, encourage and inspire! 
  • The minute you're feeling angry, take a breath, go for a walk, make an effort to do whatever you can to calm down. 
  • Do things that make you happy, because when you're happy you're already a better version of yourself. 
  • See the good in everyone. 
  • Make a conscious effort not to get jealous. It's natural, but everyone is different and on their own paths. 
  • Everyone is fighting their own battle, so don't judge a book by it's cover.

You Can Tell Your Own Future

I know lots of people, including myself who have gone to see psychics in the past. While some are amazing, and can talk to deceased loved ones or know your name or things about your life without asking, YOU know way more than they do. 

If you read my blogs often, you will know a little about the Law of Attraction. Basically it's a law that has proven to be just as powerful as other laws, like the law of gravity for example. The trick with the Law of Attraction is that if you completely believe and understand it, you can create your life exactly how you want it. 

A lot of people go to psychics because they think it will make them feel better about themselves or their lives. Or they might think it will give them something to get excited about. Which is fair enough! But you can do that yourself. 

Usually whatever the psychic/healer tells you, you will believe - right? If the psychic says, 'well unfortunately you're going to lose a lot of money soon', you are going to continuously think and worry about when this loss of money is going to happen and how you're going to cope. That's exactly what NOT to do. By doing that, you are giving out negative vibes, and you're going to attract exactly what you're thinking about: debt, loss of money, no work. 

In some ways a psychic could be great! If they tell you positive things like, 'you are going to find your soul mate soon', or 'an old friendship will be rekindled', you are going to believe them once again, right? You will know in your mind that this is 100% going to happen, and therefore you're on a positive frequency, telling the Universe what you want by believing that what you want is coming, or is already here. (Remember; believing that something is already so and that whatever you want has already been created, is much more powerful than believing that something is 'coming', or 'on it's way.')  You don't have to be told this stuff to believe it. Tell yourself what you want and make a conscious effort to believe you already have it. 

There is no need to go to someone else just so they can tell you want you might want or what you might not want to hear. You have no idea what they will tell you, and why risk that? Anyway, often the things they tell you are just a reflection of your aura, thoughts and the vibrations you are giving off at that time. You can change that in an instant by changing your thoughts. The only person who can change your life is YOU

When I went to a psychic, the lady told me things I did want to hear, along with things I didn't want to hear. I left jumbled and confused! Excited about the good stuff, but also a little down about the not so good stuff. I also found myself waiting around for the good stuff. And now I see why these things didn't end up coming about! I was constantly 'waiting,' and 'looking' for something that wasn't there. I needed to instead, believe it had already been created and completely relax knowing that it was already so. 

WHEN YOU ASK FOR SOMETHING, TRULY BELIEVE IT'S YOURS, ACT LIKE IT'S YOURS AND ACCEPT WITH GRATITUDE. 

'It's already so' has come from a Youtube meditation I listen to by YouAreCreators. At first I was confused by what 'it's already so' meant, but once you listen to this meditation it becomes very clear. It basically means what you have asked for, has been created. It's somewhere in the Universe waiting to happen. It's a thing. It's there. It's coming. It's already so. I've attached the video to this blog, it's a great way to relax, and manifest anything you want. 

Wrapping up this blog, YOU are the only person who can tell your future, and YOU can create whatever future you would like. Choose to be excited. Choose positive thoughts over negative ones. Choose to believe!

Trust the Process

I often talk about the Law of Attraction because I think it's amazing. There are stories out there from people who have actively used the power of positive thought and the law of attraction that have blown my mind. We really do have complete control over our lives, and while we may not have complete control of our thoughts, we do have control over which thoughts we give attention too. 

Giving your good thoughts attention only creates more good thoughts. When you have good thoughts, you say positive things, you do positive things and subconsciously you surround yourself with positive people and situations. By doing this, you have already put yourself on a great frequency. 

If you have read The Secret or other books on the Law of Attraction, you will know about frequencies. Basically you can put yourself on any frequency whether it be a negative one, or a positive one. When you are on the right frequency, you will know. You will feel good, positive and happy. Your frequency is constantly being sent out into the Universe, and you only get back what you put in.

The Secret has steps:
1. Ask.
2. Believe. 
3. Receive. 

It's really as simple as that. When you make an order online, you trust and know that that item you ordered is yours right? Treat the Law of Attraction the same. If you ask for something, the next step is to truly believe that you have that something. Believe that you deserve it and that it's already in your possession. Imagine the feeling of receiving it, talk about it and relax knowing that whatever it is you want, is yours. 

Then what you need to do, is throw the thought away, and TRUST THE PROCESS! It's tough, because when you want something it is normal to constantly think about that something. But once you have done the work of asking and believing that it is yours, just go on living your life like normal. You have to trust that what you asked for is coming. And the Universe will do so in the best way possible for YOU. 

Make sure you don't fall into the trap of freaking out because whatever you want has not arrived yet. It's very easy to get impatient, but this will only slow the process down. You will send out negative thoughts, and put yourself on a negative frequency. Then of course, the Universe will give you back what you have been putting in - NEGATIVITY! 

A lot of the time we are using the Law of Attraction without even knowing, and that is actually the best way to do it. If you are constantly wishing for something, and waiting for something good to appear it's not going to happen. Because you are 'wishing' and 'waiting' for something that you don't have. You need to ask, believe and then let it all go, and you will receive.
