Releasing Anger and Healing Situations

I'm really excited about this blog because I'm sure this is something that everyone can relate to. Anger can easily be held onto for no reason and the damage it does to you, your energy and your whole life is pretty crazy! You might be holding onto anger because a certain situation was unfair and the other person was completely in the wrong or maybe you're angry at yourself for something you did or you said? Either way, time to let it go my friend. 

Wanting to let go of something is great, but actually letting go of something is really challenging. How many times has a situation occurred and weeks later you're thinking of different things you should have said or how you could have avoided the situation?  You go over and over it in your mind making up all kinds of scenarios which might give you relief for a minute, then you snap back to reality and realise that nothing has changed. 

Having anger boil up inside you is such an awful feeling. It's hard to concentrate on anything else, it's almost impossible to attract positive things and situations because of the vibe you're subconsciously giving off and you can actually make yourself ill. (Example: When you have something you need to say, your throat can get sore. When you're anxious about something, your chest can get tight and you can make yourself nauseous. When you're stressed about something, your sleep is interrupted and you end up run down and sick.) 

So let's ask ourselves.... what's the point?! What is done is done and it can't be changed. You can be angry and waste your time, energy and possibly make the situation worse, or you can follow these steps which helped me move forward positively. 

When I was working a casual job just out of high school, I got caught up in a yucky situation with a girl I hardly knew. I remember going over and over the situation in my head, stressing myself to tears, worrying what people would think of me and overall I was terrified of seeing her again. (Mostly because of all the stuff I was making up in my mind! Why do we always jump to conclusions and focus on the ABSOLUTE WORST that could happen?) 

Here's what I did to release my built up anger and heal the situation. 

1. Compromise with Yourself. 

What this girl did was wrong and a lie, however I had to get real with myself and think, what did I do wrong? This was hard, because of course our natural instinct is to protect ourselves. 

I thought back to when I met her, working together for a short time and all of our interactions. I was able to see that maybe I was being a little immature and leaving her out. We had a very close knit group in our workplace, and having a younger person come in and take charge threatened me. I finally broke through what I did wrong and what drove her to the brink of this situation. As ashamed as I was after these realisations, I actually felt relieved. 

I was playing victim for so long. I felt sorry for myself and had no idea why someone would do something so nasty to an innocent person! Playing victim is easy, you get attention, maybe some sympathy which you naturally crave while you're angry and upset, and you get to completely ignore it all, calling it an unfair situation and leaving it at that. (Although we all know that saying you will ignore it is a lot harder than actually ignoring it. You have to show up, and deal with the situation, as hard as it may be.) 

Always look deeper into YOU. You may not deserve bad situations, but did you do something that helped lead to it? Even the tiniest thing? It's important to admit this to yourself. It's also very selfless to do so. Even if you know the other person was completely in the wrong, admitting you're partly at fault releases anger because it all starts to make a little more sense.

2. See through Love

This step was a huge life lesson for me and something that I use every single day now. Seeing every person, situation and thing through love, changes everything. You don't know what anyone is going through, and your only duty is to respect that and be kind to everyone.

This situation was still affecting me after it happened, I don't deal well with negative situations, especially confrontation. My Mum told me that I needed to send her love. EW! Why would I send  love to someone who had been so cruel?! Mum explained to me that she obviously isn't having a great time either, and to do the things she did, she mustn't be very happy. This hit me like a tonne of bricks. 

One night before I went to sleep, I decided to send her love. You can do this in any way that feels right for you. I imagined standing opposite her and sending her a huge amount of beautiful white light. 

3. Release it 

It's all well and good to do step 1 and 2 but still obsess and freak out over the situation. You have to release it. Be proud that you have done all you can to rectify the situation. (Rectifying the situation doesn't mean confronting the person and sorting it out with them. It can, especially if it's a family member or close friend, but in my situation, seeing each other and talking about it would have only made things worse.)

So I thought that's it! And I released it. I thanked the Universe for healing the situation and I was proud of myself for showing up and admitting that as unfair as the situation was, maybe I was in the wrong too. A couple of weeks later, guess who I ran into? We didn't speak, but it was fine. It's like The Universe was showing me that it was over and that we had both moved on. I felt SO relieved and so clear. 

Respect Yourself

Respect yourself enough to give yourself this type of relief. YOU are the only person in your life who has the power to help yourself. You can't rely on other people or other sources to fix situations or to make you feel better or more inspired and positive. YOU have to do it yourself. Showing up to situations can be very confronting and scary, but what is scarier, is holding onto the negative thoughts and anger about a certain someone or situation for your whole life. That is the most unhealthy situation you can get yourself in.

Missing Steps in the Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction is a Universal law which allows us to manifest WHATEVER we want into our lives. The 3 steps are said to be ASK, BELIEVE, RECEIVE. 

However, after years of being obsessed with the Law of Attraction and the infinite possibilities that the Universe has available to us, I have figured out a few steps that are constantly missed or looked over. 

If you have given the Law of Attraction a go and have been disappointed with the result, then maybe you're missing a few of these crucial steps. I won't go into detail about the original steps, ask, believe and receive, but if you're new to the Law of Attraction and want to know more about these steps, read this blog here and then come back to this blog post! 

1. FOCUS

Before the 'ask' step, it is SO important to get focused on exactly what you want. The Universe likes specific and clear visualisations. You can ask for as many things as you want, the Universe doesn't work in quantity's and also doesn't care whether it's sending $20 or $20,000 your way. There is enough abundance, happiness and amazing things out there for everyone. However, separate your desires and ask for one specific thing at a time. After getting clear about exactly what you want, free your space and your mind before asking. It's more powerful to ask in a quiet, peaceful environment, where you're focused and in tune with the Universe and your own energy.

4. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

It's all well and good to imagine yourself in your new role at work, or in that new car, or with a new partner, but if you don't believe that you can be a great worker, partner etc. then that's not enough. You need to know wholeheartedly that you deserve whatever you're asking for. You need to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF completely. You're good enough. You're capable enough and you're ready! 

5. SURRENDER

This is a huge one, and the lady who taught me all about this, is the amazing Gabrielle Bernstein. Don't try and control your wish. For example: Say you want a promotion at work. You ask the Universe while meditating, you really believe you're good enough for the role, you see yourself in the role and create the feelings of excitement through your body, tricking your brain into thinking that these visualisations are real life.

Then you keep thinking about it, and how it might come about. Maybe Matt from accounts will go away on a holiday and you will step in and keep the role, maybe the sales will go through the roof and they will need two people in that role, and you obsess over how this wish of yours will come into reality. The Universe ALWAYS knows the quickest, and best option for you. Often, the Universe has an even BETTER plan for you. A mantra I use is: I accept this, or something better. Surrendering to the Universe can be really difficult, because when we want something it's natural to keep thinking and obsessing over that thing. However, we have to make a conscious effort to let go of our desire and TRUST that the Universe knows the best way. Trying to control your desire gets in the way of the Universe's plan. Don't underestimate it's power. 

6. RECEIVE 

7. GRATITUDE  

I am guilty of receiving and not being grateful. In one instance, I actually had my desire taken away from me! When I received this desire, I was excited but kept second guessing it. "Why did they choose me?" "The role will probably be cut from the show." "I won't believe it until I'm on set." Well, the Universe heard me loud and clear and took my desire straight off me!

Luckily I am getting better at tuning into a positive frequency quickly and attracting the things I want. Because of this, I was actually able to manifest this desire back, which was pretty crazy! But the point is, gratitude is one of the highest vibrations you can put out into the Universe, so to me, it NEEDS to be included in the Law of Attraction. It's also pretty simple. After receiving, THANK the Universe. Accept your desire you have just manifested with open, accepting and GRATEFUL arms, knowing that you deserve it.

Staying Focused

What is focus to you? Focus to me is remaining in alignment, staying positive and sticking to my goals! When I am completely focused on those three elements of my life, everything else seems to fall into place. I have clarity, I feel good and exciting things happen! 

I think we can all agree that moving forward, whether it be in your career, relationship, booking a holiday or even things like getting your tax done, brings on good feelings. If you're like me, it will give you a sense of pride and motivates you even more to keep going and to keep creating your life just how you want it!

However, we are all human and staying focused on things you want 24/7 isn't easy. If you read my blog, you will know that focusing on what you want is THE most important thing you can do. Why? Because whether you believe it or not, the Law of Attraction is always working. It depends on what you're focusing on as to whether the Law of Attraction is working to your advantage or disadvantage. The book, The Universe Has Your Back says; 'Where your attention goes, energy flows.' If you focus on the bad, you get the bad and more bad, but if you focus on the good, you get the good and more good! 

Now, let's talk about getting focused and staying focused (most of the time.) I'm not going to exaggerate and say, 'If you really work on it you can be focused 100% of the time for the rest of your life and be a positivity focused superhuman.' Let's be realistic here and work on staying focused the majority of the time. 

Most times, we lapse out of focus when we're feeling generally negative or down, after a weekend of partying or from tiredness or self doubt. When we're in this state of mind, the last thing we can be bothered doing is making an effort to turn our lazy and negative state of mind around. But this is the most important part! It's so easy to mope around, eat badly, have a cry, watch reality TV and aimlessly scroll through social media. Or how many of you have said 'I'll start tomorrow'? It's in these times you need to decide how you want to feel and how important it is to get to that. Do you want to feel happy? Inspired? Creative? Abundant? Positive? Motivated? Proud? Well my friend, you can feel all of that!

First of all YOU need to figure out what you want to focus on. I mentioned what I wanted to focus on above. You might notice that I haven't written down things like; family, relationship, career. When I focus on staying in alignment, remaining positive etc. my focus is controlled and things like family, my relationship and career all benefit and fall into place, because I feel good inside and I have the time, energy and love to give to those things. 

What do you want/need to focus on? It's time to write it down! I can't stress this enough! I read so many books on positivity and self love, and they all mention how important it is putting pen to paper. It's making it official and putting it out there into the Universe. Take your time.

Now that you know what you need to focus on, here are 7 ways to STAY focused. 

Reminders

Constantly remind yourself with post-it notes on your mirror, fridge, laptop etc. Have you ever felt the need to do or accomplish something so strongly, for example, 'I need to eat healthy. From tomorrow I am going to eat so well, this is so important to me and I'm GOING to make it happen,' then all of a sudden the next day when you're hungry and craving bad foods it doesn't seem that important anymore? Posting reminders everywhere helps your mind remember that sense of importance you once had and will help you stay on track. 

A healthy morning and night time routine! 

Going on your phone and scrolling through social media or playing games isn't the best way to start or end your day. Instead, focus on being present. Being present, whether it be chatting with your family/room mate/partner, reading, or meditating means the difference in your day being an okay one, to a productive, positive and focused one!  

Don't push yourself.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is take time out to watch some mindless TV, or go for a walk. At the time, you might think, no I need to keep focused and get this done, but by exhausting yourself, you're not going to produce good work and you're going to end up overwhelmed. Don't feel guilty about taking time out. 

Checklists. 

Lists bring a sense of accomplishment and also ensures you did everything you set out to do. For me, checking off my list of big and little jobs clears my head. 

Meditation.

Speaks for itself. If you're not a meditator, I highly recommend starting. I used to think meditating was a waste of time... until I tried it and literally have never felt so clear, calm and present in my life! (If you're a beginner, find some guided meditations on Youtube.) 

Prioritising Importance.

Write down what is most important to you and figure out which areas you need to dedicate the most time and attention to. 

Listening to your heart!

What do you think the most about? What do you desire? What gets you excited? What gets you motivated? THAT is your life purpose. There is a reason that the old saying 'listen to your heart' has been around so long. It's so simple and so important. Deep down we all know what we want, don't ignore those feelings and don't waste time. Act now!

Self Love 101

Loving yourself completely, will change everything. 

It's time to be the best version of YOU, and to do that you have to absolutely, whole heartedly love and believe in yourself like crazy. It's not vain to do so, it's actually humble. Show thanks to the Universe, God, Buddha (whoever you believe in), that you're so thankful that they made you, YOU. 

We all have special qualities, features and characteristics which make us individual. It's natural to compare, judge and hate on ourselves for the things that make us feel ugly, self conscious or not good enough. What a lot of people don't realise, is hiding these things, or hating on these things, does not do us any favours. In this blog, I am going to help you with a few techniques and examples to transform your views and ideas of yourself.

YOU

First things first. YOU are incredible. There is someone in this world, whether you know them or not, who admires you. They might admire your sense of humour, your hair, your style, your legs or your charisma. Just like you admire things about other people, people admire things about you. 

I don't know about you, but there have been a few times where I have said something like 'uhh, my hair looks so dry,' or 'this dress doesn't suit my body type,' and whoever I'm with, will have the complete opposite opinion. Not because they're lying to make me feel better, but because we are all SO picky and hard on ourselves, and majority of the time nobody else would notice or care about these tiny things we obsess and feel self conscious over. Think about it the other way around. How many times has a friend said something and you've thought 'I have never even noticed that spot on your face,' or 'I love your freckles, I can't believe you hate them!'

Next time you're feeling self conscious about something, remind yourself that you are the only one judging. (If other people are judging, then you don't need those people in your life, and judging only comes from jealousy.)

EXAMPLE: I used to absolutely hate the gap in my two front teeth and I was willing to spend thousands on braces to get rid of it. I was holding off because of money and auditions, and in the meantime, I started to notice a lot of people complimenting my gap. Now, other people's opinions shouldn't change yours, but in this instance it made me feel a little more confident. I forgot about it for a while, and I started to make an effort to love my gap. I would see it in photos, and instead of looking at it with disgust, I would look at it and be thankful. I liked that it was different and I liked how it shaped my face. Overtime, I genuinely and completely learned to love and accept my gap!

An exercise to assist Self Love 

Lie down alone, somewhere quiet and peaceful. Close your eyes, and focus on your breathing. Once you have come to a place of calm, imagine yourself standing in an empty room. See yourself come out of your body, and rise above. You're now looking down at you, but from an outsiders point of view. You're not you anymore, so you don't have to feel uncomfortable complimenting yourself. Now go crazy. Really look at yourself, and force yourself to realise what you love about yourself. When you see something you don't like, be thankful for it and force yourself to see the beauty in it. 

Self love doesn't just make you feel comfortable in your own skin, it also opens you up to so many more opportunities, relationships and circumstances that you block when you're in a state of self consciousness. Now, you're not going to change, unless you truly want to change. Decide that feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin and attracting amazing new opportunities and people is important to you. This literally makes me so excited writing this! I can't wait until you see changes! 

YOU are the most important person in your life

Again, this is not selfish. YOU are the most important person in your life, because in order to help and be there for the ones you love, you have to be completely happy and in tune with yourself. To do this, you have to love yourself. Self love needs to be a priority. If everyone loved and accepted themselves, there would be no competing and no judgement. When you're happy within yourself and in a state of alignment and gratitude, you're constantly giving love, positivity and happiness, and the world needs more of that.

Help others love themselves! 

Helping other people feels good, and when you help others it will always come back to you. I make an effort to compliment my family, friends and strangers as much as I can. Not only does it boost their confidence and put a smile on their face, but it also helps you have realisations about yourself that you might not have been open to before. 

Forgive your mistakes.

We all make mistakes, big and small. While exploring self love, you must remember to be kind to yourself and easily forgive. It's very easy to stress and feel guilty over something you've done, but I'm here to tell you something... that is a waste of time and energy! You made that mistake for a reason, and one day soon it will all make sense. For now... be kind, forgive yourself and move on. 

Protect yourself and your energy! 

Be careful who you surround yourself with! Make a conscious effort to limit negative situations and people in your life. If you have to be in these situations or around these people, KILL THEM WITH POSITIVITY AND KINDNESS! (And try your best to not let them drain or affect your amazing energy!)

Enjoy life!

We feel good when we're doing things that make us happy right?! It's much easier to practice self love when you're surrounded by the people and situations you want! So get yourself to that! Do whatever it takes to get the job you want, surround yourself with the people that lift you up, not bring you down! Create a life that YOU love. Don't worry about what others think. It's a pretty amazing world, and we can make of it whatever we like.

Thoughts Become Things

Did you know our brains can't distinguish the difference between imagination and reality? This means, that you can trick your mind into creating whatever you want. It sounds too good to be true, but I and hundreds of the best scientists around the world (like how I just casually put myself in the bracket of one of the best scientists in the world), can tell you that it IS true. The things you think about, you bring about.

ALRIGHT, HOW DO I START?

Believe. 

A lot of us use the Law of Attraction without realising, which means a lot of us already trick our minds and bring what we want into reality without knowing. For example, you might have thought in the past 'It would be so nice if someone took me out to dinner.' You forget about it and then that night or a couple of nights later, someone takes you out to dinner. You think, what a coincidence?! Or maybe you're thinking about an old friend, forget about it and then they message you. YOU brought all of these 'coincidences' into your life. 

Now, this works hand in hand with the Law of Attraction, which says to ASK, BELIEVE and RECEIVE. Tricking your mind comes under the BELIEVE part. For example; say you want your boss to love the presentation you've been working on. ASK the Universe something like, 'Universe, I ask that you help and guide me so that I can complete this presentation in a way that will impress my boss beyond words.'

Next, you want to believe... now is the time to really imagine, pretend you're a child playing with your toys and creating this surreal world around you. Imagine your Boss' voice, telling you what you want to hear, feel the feeling of receiving that news. Imagine yourself celebrating with a bottle of champagne afterwards. Really see it, feel it and believe it. 

Receiving is actually one of the trickiest parts of the Law of Attraction, but this blog isn't about that. If you're interested in a more in depth description of the blocks that surround receiving, check this blog out.

You've Started... Now What?!

Take control of your thoughts. 

I've said this a number of times, but in case you're a new reader I'll say it again. We have 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts a day, so there is no way you can control all of your thoughts. Not even Oprah could do that. Actually, Oprah might be able to do that. Oprah could probably do that, she is amazing. But seriously, don't feel guilty about the negative thoughts you have. It's natural. It's annoying and puts a damper on your day, but sometimes we just can't help it. 

What you can do is this. Choose which thoughts to give your attention too. Thought 1: Your friend Jack is really annoying you. Thought 2: Jack really helped you when you were going through a hard time. It's pretty obvious which thought you should give your focus too right? When someone or something is annoying you or creating negative thoughts in your mind, turn it around. Don't give it a second. Always focus on the good. No matter how bad your mood and thoughts are that day, you can always turn a negative thought into a positive one.

Once you change that initial negative thought it will build. Let's go back to Jack helping you in the past. You then might think how good he made you feel at that time, because of how good you felt, you were able to come out of that rut, because Jack helped you out of that rut, you then landed a new job. One good thought stems to another good thought and once you keep building on that, the energy inside of you becomes positive and magnetic. You're now what they call 'in alignment.'

Being in Alignment

What does that mean?!

You will know when you're in alignment. You will feel INCREDIBLE, good things will happen to and around you, coincidences will occur all the time and life will feel exciting and simple, like a wave that keeps rolling in the right direction. 

You have the power to get yourself in alignment no matter the day, time or mood you're in. Your thoughts are powerful, all you need to do is think about things that make you genuinely happy and build on that. Once you build and build, you will eventually get yourself to a state of alignment. 

Once you're in this state, you can manifest ANYTHING you want. There is no higher vibrational state than being in alignment, while remaining grateful and visualising exactly what you want. 

NOTE: You have to believe these thoughts. It does take effort. Thinking 'I am a happy person, everyone wants to be around me' while crying and hating on yourself won't work. Changing your thought pattern and believing it can be the most important thing in your life.

How Changing Your Thoughts Will Change Your Life

Changing your thoughts to happy and positive thoughts will make you shine on the inside and the outside. When you're truly happy, you will naturally attract good people, good things and good circumstances. By attracting good things, only better things will follow. 

Once you're in alignment and thinking positively, guess what you're doing? Tricking your mind into changing your thoughts to things! It's actually pretty simple, the key is just to BE happy. To BE happy, you have to focus on the POSITIVE. Focusing on the positive and creating exciting visualisations of what you want in your mind, WILL become your reality. 

You have the power and the sooner you start, the sooner you'll get what you want. 

I wanted to share a personal experience I had using the principle of 'your thoughts become things'! I love hearing other people's Law of Attraction success stories, it inspires me so much as you're hearing it first hand! (Whenever you're feeling a bit negative or searching for some inspiration type into Youtube, LOA Success Stories.) 

SO, the other day something really amazing happened! I was doing a guided meditation on Youtube, and I was visualising the perfect role I want to land in a film. I was imagining myself in the role, on set, at the premiere, etc. I was getting so excited, and really letting my mind wander!

All of a sudden, the letter A popped into my head. I don't know why, but I knew that the role I was about to receive would start with A. Anyway, I forgot about it, went to sleep and the next day went for a walk. While I was walking the name Anna popped into my head. Again, I don't know why it did, but I knew it had something to do with a role. I thought it was weird because that's my Mum's name.

Again, I forgot about it and later that day I got an email from my agent with an audition attached. The character's name that I was going for was Ana! I didn't realise until five minutes later... and then I thought, oh my gosh, I went back to the script to check, and realised that the biggest coincidence had just happened. Yes it was one N instead of two, but who cares! The role also wasn't perfect for me, but any chance to audition is an amazing opportunity. This could open up so many other possibilities and it shows that I am in complete alignment with my thoughts, and I am beginning to attract things! 

Coincidences aren't just coincidences, they're signs from the Universe to let you know you're on the right path. I LOVE COINCIDENCES!  Make sure you listen and watch out for them. They are so powerful as they're created from your thoughts and your mind

Finding the Right Path For You

Finding your path can be super easy, or super hard, it can take you your whole life, or you can fall into it straight away. There are a lot of people who are happy (enough) with their lives, but please don't confuse this with being HAPPY. Is 'happy enough', enough?

You have a path out there that is made for you, all you have to do is find it and when you do, it feels right and so damn good!

Now, making sure you don't confuse 'feels right' with 'right' is hard, because even if you're on the right path you can still have good days and bad days, good moods and bad moods and you can still make mistakes and be riddled with self doubt. So how do we know if we're on the right path?

A few things to keep in mind are:

  • Your talents
  • Your desires and dreams
  • Coincidences 
  • Repetitious signs 
  • Whatever you're scared of (This is usually where your passion lies!)

A lot of people are in careers which make them feel comfortable, stable, and relaxed and I can see why, all of those are great feelings! Yet a lot of these people aren't stepping up within their career or switching careers because of insecurities, money, self doubt and fear. Some people assume they're on the right path and get comfortable, not realising there is another path more suited to them waiting to be walked on.

You might feel like you are on the right path because the job you're in is giving you the money you need to feed your family, or maybe your parents were in the same field so it's 'right' to take over the business, maybe you fell into the job and keep easily working your way up because you're not challenged? All of these are very valid reasons to stay where you are and never settle for anything else, but let me tell you about my journey!

When I was 11 I got my first acting role on a series called 'H20 Just Add Water.' I filmed this series for four years and I can't tell you how right it felt! I was in my element, I loved acting, set was half an hour away from my home, I met life long friends and contacts, and it gave me the boost I needed in my career.

When things are right, nothing stands in your way and everything flows. The description of the role when I went to audition for H20 was, 'overweight Greek kid,' and my skinny, pale, blonde self got the role. At the time we didn't even think it was worth auditioning for as I was nothing like the character description but clearly, the role was meant for me! There were so many other coincidences that happened along the way, one being that my on screen sister's character name was already named 'Cleo.' (Remember coincidences aren't accidents, they're signs from the Universe.) 

After finishing H20, I worked so hard to land another role. I spent thousands on head shots, flying to Sydney and LA for auditions, visas, courses etc. It has now been eight years of working my bum off to be a successful actor since finishing H20.

In 2015, I decided to start this Blog. The idea came out of nowhere, I got started straight away and everything was coming to me really easily. I couldn't believe I was enjoying something just as much as acting. All of a sudden, acting wasn't my ONLY passion. After writing blogs, I began writing my first film. I finished that film a while after, and am currently working on two other screen writing projects! I also have been given the opportunity to speak at events and I'm now loving using Pass Around the Smile as a verbally interactive project as well as a blog. So let me get this straight.... now not only do I love acting, I love blogging, screen writing and public speaking! 

This doesn't mean acting isn't the right path for me. It means at that time, it wasn't right. The Universe pushed me to realise I had other talents and interests. To be honest, looking back I ignored the Universe for SO long because I was scared and I thought that acting was my only passion.

I want other people to realise that there is so much more out there for you. Whoever you are, wherever you are, look for the path that makes you feel good, nervous, excited, challenged and amazing! It doesn't have to be just one thing! It can be, but it doesn't have to be. If you end up having 9 career changes, then awesome! You've experienced so much! Each one of these experiences may have been a part of the Universe's plan to get you to where you're supposed to be.

You know you're on the right path when it feels right, coincidence's happen ALL THE TIME and everything flows. It's important to trust the Universe's guidance, take risks, try new things and BELIEVE in yourself. This life is yours to live, make it a crazy exciting one!

7 Steps to Manifesting Your Dream Life

Manifesting! The most exciting and addictive thing you'll ever do! 

1. WHAT DO YOU WANT?

Alright this is the fun part! I know the old 'make your goals realistic, 'take it slow so you don't disappoint yourself,' but you know what I say to that? BLA BLA BLA. 

I'm not saying lay back, relax and everything is going to come flowing your way. You still have to work for it, but what I'm saying is don't be afraid to aim high! Yes, create some smaller goals that you can work towards and complete in the near future so you feel inspired and proud of yourself, but what else do you want? What do you REALLY want? If you could have anything! A new house? A new job? A new group of friends? Unlimited money? A trip to Europe? To find happiness? Get your work published? Get a promotion? Loose weight? ANYTHING!!!

'The Secret', (an amazing Law of Attraction book) says to treat the Universe like the Genie in Aladdin, but instead of three wishes, you have unlimited! I know this can sound wishy washy, fairy-taley and a little bit magic, but here's the thing... IT IS MAGIC, but it's also been scientifically proven by some of the greatest scientists ever known, that the Law of Attraction is just as strong and viable as the Law of Gravity, you just have to know how to use it. 

2. ASK THE UNIVERSE

This is pretty simple. Once you're clear on what you want, ask the Universe! When I'm trying to manifest something, I try to ask when I'm alone. Whether I'm on a walk, on my lunch break or before I go to sleep. I concentrate completely on what I'm asking for, making sure I'm really clear and present in the moment. 

Also be careful how you ask. Can you see the difference in these questions?

-Universe, I don't want to suck on the presentation I have tomorrow. (Don't use any negative words.) 

-Universe, I want to do really well on the presentation tomorrow. (Okay, but always good to add some gratitude) 

-Universe, I'm so thankful that I'm going to ace my presentation tomorrow. (A lot more powerful!) 

What you can also do, is speak like it's already happened:

-Universe, I'm so thankful that I did an amazing job on my presentation. (The most powerful!) 

3. VISUALIZE

I love visualising, because not only is it exciting, but it also puts you on a great vibration, allowing you to attract good things into your life easily. 

There are two ways to visualise:

The first: Visualising after you have asked for something specific.

Focus on whatever that is. Try not to let your mind wander, you don't want to confuse yourself or the Universe. Try to separate asking for different things. For example: I wouldn't say, Universe, I really want to land a role in a comedy series, attract more money and go on a holiday. I would seperate them, whether it's by hours or days, just make sure you give each dream it's own time. 

The second: Flexible visualising.

Visualising can be really flexible. Allow your mind to soar! Sometimes before bed I will visualise how I want my next day to go, or maybe even the next week. I imagine all the amazing things that are going to happen and all the amazing opportunities that are going to come my way. I don't focus on anything in particular, just a whole heap of good stuff! 

This is a good way of visualising if you're not quite sure what you want. You might think 'I just want to be happy, and I want to attract good things.' Well lie there and imagine all the things that make you feel good flowing into your life. This is exciting because you will start noticing coincidences and situations in your life that make you really happy, yet you never manifested the situation in particular, you just manifested the feeling. 

Also, in moments when you're visualising and you quiet your mind, you are able to receive answers you didn't even know you were searching for.

4. ACT 'AS IF'

Acting 'as if' is quite hard, but once you get in the flow of it, it really works! This means acting as if you have whatever you're trying to manifest.

Say if it's a new car. Every time you go to leave your house, get excited as you would if your new car was waiting outside for you to drive. If you're trying to manifest more money, act as if you have money! Spend the extra $2 for fries with your burger, pay for the hotel with the sea view, donate to charity! The more you give, the more you get back. If you're constantly on a budget and saying things like 'I have no money,' 'I'm poor,' 'I can't afford it,' well then you're really not helping yourself. All the Universe hears is poor, can't and no money. Just like a Google search, the Universe hears your key words and sends more of that your way! 

5. YOU HAVE PLACED YOUR ORDER, NOW RELAX

I read in 'The Secret', that once you ask the Universe for what you want, treat it just like you have placed an order online. Say you have just purchased a t-shirt online. You've paid for it and got the conformation email. It's yours right? You would 100% believe in your mind that it's coming to you. 

Treat the Universe the same. It's coming. It's nearly here. It's yours.  

6. ENJOY AND BE THANKFUL

I say this a lot because it's really important. If you can't be thankful for what you have NOW, you will never attract anything new and exciting into your life. If you're reading this blog, you must have some kind of device. That's something to start with, if you have a computer, phone or iPad you're lucky! 

You need to get yourself to a place where you're 100%, completely and utterly in love and thankful for EVERYTHING in your life. Even the negative stuff. The negative stuff in life helps us grow and appreciate the good stuff! 

7. RECIEVE

This step seems so easy, but it's a little misleading. At the end of it all, you will receive what you have manifested! HOW EXCITING! You literally turned your dreams into reality with your mind, all because you believed you could. 

NOW, I want to share something that happened to me. I manifested something amazing into my life and then when it came, I freaked out. I thought I wasn't good enough and thought they had made a mistake choosing me. (P.s. if you struggle with self-doubt, read this blog.) 

So I basically rejected receiving and then guess what happened? They took it away from me! It was all my fault though, I look back and completely understand why everything happened how it did. 

When you receive, you need to receive with gracious, confident and accepting arms! Be thankful and know that this is meant for you and work forward with it.

FUN FACT: 

Do you know it is as easy to attract $5 than it is to attract $5 million? It's true! The only thing that's stopping you is your mind. If you can attract something small, you can attract something big.

The Universe doesn't recognise big or little - that's a human concept, it simply recognises what you want, and delivers it to you. (If you know and trust the process.)

RESET YOUR MINDSET!

Resetting your mindset can be a really powerful tool in helping you create a life exactly how you want it. It's amazing (and a little scary) how many opportunities, coincidences, people and circumstances we block if we're not in the right frame of mind. 

We have so many thoughts in a day and as life gets busier, it's so much harder to control these thoughts and to keep our frame of mind clear and positive. Keeping your mind clear and positive creates a ripple like effect out into the Universe (otherwise called a frequency) and what you're thinking about, will then come about.

It's the Law of Attraction! 

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED TO CHANGE MY MINDSET?

You need to change your mindset if you're struggling with the following:

  • Jealousy
  • Being stuck in a rut (Physically, socially or in your mind) 
  • Time management (Managing your time equally between work, family and social life)
  • Thinking negatively
  • Talking negatively
  • Doubting yourself
  • Lack of inspiration and motivation
  • Unsure of which path to take
  • Turning to your phone/computer/social media when you're overwhelmed 

SO, HOW DO I RESET MY MINDSET?!

Well, there's a few things but let's start with this. 

You have to WANT and be WILLING to change. 

Just like any problem you might have, you're not going to be able to change unless you really want to. 

Get yourself to a point of NEEDING this change. Visualise yourself after this change and feel the feeling of relief and completion. 

Really think about what resetting your mindset means to you. Why did you choose to read this blog and start on the pathway of resetting you mindset? Do you need to clear your headspace? Stop judging people? Focus on something in particular? Begin to think more positively? 

TAKE SOME TIME OUT

I get that life is busy, but in order to clear your head, you have to clear your time. If you're studying - take a study break, if you're a parent - get a babysitter, if your work hours are demanding - take a personal leave day. Your mental health is so important. Small problems like getting overwhelmed or constantly thinking and talking negatively can effect your mental health in big ways down the track. (Even if you don't think it's a problem now.) 

Do yourself a favour by taking a day or a few hours out to re-asses your life and your mindset. This hour or two of self help can be life changing. 

JUST SIT 

If you're into meditation:

Take at least half an hour to meditate in a quiet place with no distractions. Calm your mind, visualise yourself releasing negative energy and breathing in a white light of positive energy. 

Try to get yourself to a state of nothing, so you're seeing nothing and you're thinking nothing. Ask the Universe (or whatever you believe in) to clear your mind and to help you focus on what is important. If you don't know what you need to be focusing on in your life, ask for guidance. 

Guided meditations that I recommend: 

(This is just music, but the frequency (852 Hz is connected to the principle of Light, and Light is a higher form of bioenergy.

This frequency can be used as a means for opening up communication with your higher self and awaken your intuition and inner strength. This frequency can be used to cleanse trapped negative energy and dissolve fear, overthinking and worries.)

If you're not into meditation: 

Still find a quiet calm place to sit. Take in your surroundings and think about what you love about your life, and what you don't. Become clear about how you want to spend your time and how you want to use your energy. 

You could also try one of the guided meditations above and see if you like it! I used to turn my nose up at meditation, but after I tried it and experienced instant results it was hard to stop! 

BE GRATEFUL

The Law of Attraction states that you cannot attract anything new into your life if you're not 100% grateful for what you already have. Now, you can't be cheeky with the Law of Attraction. You can't just say 'okay yeah, I'm grateful for my house,' but be thinking in your mind 'I hate this old dump.' It's not going to work like that. 

You need to get yourself to a state of being SO genuinely grateful. Do what you need to do to get there. What about the memories that house has given you? The happy times you spent in it? How the paint reminds you of your family home growing up. Look around, and do whatever it takes to get yourself to a state of gratefulness. 

Now write down everything you're grateful for. This is SO powerful. I'm talking EVERYTHING from the safety and health of you and your family, to the money in your bank account, to the clothes you own, to the book you're going to read that night, to the person that smiled at you earlier, to the time you have to relax etc.

LET GO OF THE SMALL STUFF

One of my New Years Resolutions was to stop sweating the small stuff, and I tell ya what! I am loving it. Now that I'm making a conscious effort to focus on the positives and not giving small issues the time of day, I realise how much time and negative energy I was wasting stressing on these tiny things! Think about all the times you have wasted in the past stressing about things that don't matter at all now. 

VISUALIZE

Visualisation is not only fun, inspiring and exciting, it is productive! Visualising what you want puts you on an amazing frequency and sends you on the way to receiving the good stuff in life! 

Visualising can be done at anytime - while meditating, while on the bus, while reading or while on your lunch break. Although, the most powerful time to visualise is when you first wake, or when you're about to fall asleep. 

For those of you who don't know what visualising is, it's basically imagining what you want. Creating a little movie in your mind and playing it out exactly how you want your life to go. Remember, your mind can't tell the difference between imagination and real life - so trick it!  

EXPECT GOOD STUFF

To receive and to fully change your mindset you need to believe that you're worth it all. You need to EXPECT all of this amazing stuff. If you don't believe, you won't receive! 

Wake up every morning with a thankful heart knowing that good things are on their way to you.

MANTRAS

It doesn't just end after this little session unfortunately. You can't just take an hour out and your hard work is done. While the time you take to complete these steps will play a huge part in resetting your mindset and you will feel instantly refreshed, you need to remind yourself each day about what you want and who you are. 

Self talk is a vital exercise in your minds health. Telling yourself you are something and believing it is SO powerful. 

Figure out what mantras work for you and for what you want. Say them over and over, and really BELIEVE what you're saying! 

Some examples:

  • I am loved
  • I am focused
  • I am succesful
  • I am healthy
  • I am worthy
  • I am abundant
  • I am happy
  • I am relaxed
  • I believe in myself
  • My mind is clear
  • I only focus on the good
  • I am finding it easy to stay positive
  • Everything is working out how it should
  • I am thankful for the Universe's guidance
  • I am thankful that everything is under control

Get Rid of Self Doubt - Time For You to Shine!

Ever notice those people who are literally shining? They glow, constantly smile and seem to have a really positive affect on people around them? Well, you can be one of those people and I can tell you exactly when you will become one of those people...

 
 

We can all make a little bit of effort here and there, try to believe in ourselves, do some positive self talk, maybe begin to accept our flaws. Nope, sorry that's not enough. You need to COMPLETELY believe in yourself. COMPLETELY love yourself. You can't just tell yourself you're amazing with words but keep thinking negatively.

You need to do whatever it takes to help yourself realise that you're amazing, capable, strong, independent, courageous and competent.

You need to get rid of self doubt.

Unfortunately it's hard to get rid of self doubt completely. Among the thousands of thoughts we have in a day, we're going to have a few bad ones here and there. Just don't give them the time of day. Blow them a sassy kiss goodbye. 

It's the beginning of 2018, it's time to make some changes. It's time to become who you want to be, and to do exactly what you want to do. Letting go of self doubt will speed up this process immensely. 

I can't stress how important this is. The Law of Attraction won't work for you unless you completely believe that you're capable and deserving of what you want. No matter how much visualising, and work with the Law of Attraction you do... if you let self doubt take over, your subconscious will block the overall process. 

If you want to fast forward your life into a spiral of happiness, good things, great people and amazing experiences, then here are some steps that will help you get there, and fast!  

BE BRAVE

This is SO vital. You need to be so brave, so brave that it gives you butterflies and scares you a real lot! Nothing exciting, incredible and invigorating has ever come from comfort zones. 

So many times we sit on ideas because we're scared of judgment, failure or embarrassment. Well it's time to let that go, you can either live a life that isn't completely true to you, and live with regret and 'what ifs,' or you can give it a go! 

Ask yourself... whats the worst that could happen? You get judged? Well those people judging you are either jealous or not happy within themselves. Scared of failure? Well I think that you should fear regret more than failure, and failure is a part of success. I can guarantee every idol of yours has experienced failure. I read an amazing quote the other day, it was... "Failure is a bruise, not a tattoo." 

 
 

POSITIVE SELF TALK

Our body is filled with 60-70% water, and it has been proven by scientists all over the world that water is affected positively and negatively by words and emotions projected its way. So imagine what negative self talk is doing to your body. 

It's so easy to get angry with yourself. 'I'm stupid,' 'I suck at this,' 'I can't do this.' These words are so damaging to us. We are made up of energy, and you're only turning what energy you have inside of you to nasty and negative energy. It is natural to have upsetting thoughts but you need to make an effort to change them instantly. You need to tell yourself 'I can do this,' 'I am capable of this,' 'this is what I am meant to do,' 'I am thankful for the Universe's help and guidance.' Keep saying it until you believe it. 

Words are so powerful, and can not only change the energy and water patterns in your body, but can change your mood in a second, ushering in the good energy that you need and want. 

 
 

GET STARTED 

This is a big one. How many times have you had an idea, got really excited about it, and then gone on your phone and started scrolling? Or turned on the TV? Maybe went out with your friends and put it off. Yes, whatever you want to do is going to take effort, yes it's going to be a little difficult, yes it's going to take time. 

Let's take our minds back to a time we felt really proud of ourselves. Maybe you got on A on an exam you studied really hard for. Maybe something you worked on got published, maybe you finished a class or a course. Feeling proud of yourself is such an amazing feeling and helps you get on an amazing frequency which helps attract other incredible things. 

YOU can get yourself there. YOU have the power to achieve whatever you want. YOU have the resources and the mind power to start something. You'll feel so proud and accomplished that you will get yourself on a positive streak and attract things that you once thought weren't possible. Isn't that exciting?

So moral of the story, get started now OKAY?! Be so brave it scares you, and motivate yourself kindly. YOU are your biggest cheerleader, so help yourself out!

3 New Year Resolutions for the Best Year Yet!

Setting goals is so exciting! A chance to work toward something you want, a chance to move forward and a chance to be proud of yourself! This year I decided to put a lot of thought into my New Years Resolutions because I AM going to make 2018 the best year yet! YOU can make this the best year yet too! No one else but you has the power to create your life exactly how you want it! 

When setting your New Year goals/resolutions, it's important to clear your space, and sit somewhere quiet, preferably in nature! I encourage you to really focus on what you want. Meditation can help this process. Sometimes we aren't sure what we want! And that is okay. Ask the Universe to guide you, and as the old saying goes, listen to your heart! Think about areas that are lacking in your life. Don't focus on this for too long or dwell on what you don't have, just give yourself some time to realise 'okay, I really need to work on that,' or 'I really want that!'

Keep in mind, New Year Resolutions don't have to be something totally new! It can be something like 'keep my job,' or 'maintain a great relationship with my family.' Also, notice here how I didn't say 'don't lose my job' and 'try hard not to fight with my family?' 

The Law of Attraction states that what you think about or ask for the most, you will attract. For example: If you are always thinking, 'Uhhh I can't lose weight,' then the Universe hears 'can't,' 'weight' and a negative attitude. Change your tune, 'I am toned, and my ideal body shape!

Think of the Universe like Google. If you type in, NOT AMERICAN MOVIES, what's going to come up in your search?! AMERICAN MOVIES! It's easy to focus on what we don't have, because we want it it so bad! I get it.. I do it too. However, while you're creating your New Years Resolutions, keep it positive. Stop dwelling on your lack of something. Dwell on how you can make that something yours! Be careful of the keywords you use... because words are more powerful than you think! 

Anyway, that was a long introduction... I would like to share my New Years Resolutions with you! 

1. GIRL BOSS

I have decided to focus a lot of 2018 on my career. I have always been very career driven, and I constantly put my all into making my dreams happen! However, I'm a bit of a pushover. I'll take no as an answer, I won't call that company/person back because I 'don't want to annoy them,' I'll find myself scrolling aimlessly and wasting time when I'm feeling overwhelmed (don't we all), and I don't sell (believe) myself enough. 

WELL, I've decided enough is enough, and I hope that this can inspire you to think the same! I have a few paths that I am following; Acting, Screen Writing, Blogging and Motivational Speaking. I wasn't always striving for all of this, but overtime I developed new passions, and whilst going with the flow of the Universe, these career paths have presented themselves to me! 

So I'm going to push, and push and not hold back! Don't ever apologise for something you want! Know that you're capable and push forward like there is no tomorrow! That's what I'll be doing, anyway!

2. DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF

This is a big one for me! I am an absolute sucker for stressing over the smallest of things! Most of these things will have nothing to do with me, or I will have no control over! What's the point on wasting negative energy stressing over something that has already happened or something that you can't change? NO POINT! Well this year, I'm going to put all my energy into the good things in life! 

Using negative energy not only makes you angry, but it can make you sick, stressed and confused. It's actually really bad for your overall health. A lot of the time, negative energy is stemmed from small things; A comment a friend makes, spilling petrol on yourself, your phone dying, not being invited somewhere, a co-worker annoying you etc. Look at these situations from the outside... is it worth getting yourself all worked up over? Nope! 

If it's not going to matter in a few weeks, then make a conscious effort not to give it a thought now! 

3.ZEN 

If you read my blogs, you will know that I started meditating this year. I'm still amazed at how much it has helped me, but I still haven't allowed myself to do it as much as I want to! In 2018, I'm going to make a big effort to do more meditation, to spend more time out in nature, to read more, and to be more present. 

Being present is an amazing feeling. To let go of your phone, to let go of the worries in your life, and to just BE! Take in where you are... the company, the surroundings and be thankful. It clears your mind in so many ways, and opens you up to greater things. 

I read something a few weeks ago, that said 'the most relaxing times, are the most productive times.' I couldn't agree more! At first I thought this quote kind of contradicted my resolution of 'Girl Boss', but now I realise it goes together perfectly! To be a career driven girl-boss-lady-thing, I'm going to have to take time out to relax and re-set myself, so I'm able to be the most productive and refreshed girl-boss-lady-thing I can be!

Sometimes it's hard to figure out what the next step in your life might be, or which direction is the best to take. If you're struggling coming up with some New Years Resolutions that feel right then ask yourself this. 

What is going to make YOU proud of YOU? 

There is no better feeling than making progress, working hard and being proud of yourself, so do whatever you need to do to get that feeling.

IDEAS FOR NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS THAT WILL LEAD TO A MORE WHOLESOME LIFE

  • Get a Gratitude Journal, and use it everyday
  • Read books on the Law of Attraction
  • Fall asleep to a manifestation meditation 3 nights a week
  • When thinking negatively, replace it with 10 good thoughts until you have forgotten about your initial bad thought. 
  • Love yourself more! (You have to love yourself completely before you can love anyone else.)
  • Remind yourself that everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about
  • Treat yourself

5 ways to make today AMAZING

If it were up to us, we would want everyday to be an amazing day. If it were up to us, we would want everyday to be inspiring, fun and uplifting! If it were up to us, we would only want to be surrounded by amazing people and exciting opportunities. Well guess what, it is up to us. It's up to YOU! 

No one else can determine how your day is going to go. It's completely up to YOU. You can choose to have a good day, or you can choose to have a bad day.

Unfortunately we can't control what happens around us, but we can control how we react to it! By being positive you are going to lessen the chances of negative things happening around you, but at the end of the day, other people's lives, are other people's lives. Not yours, not your problem.

Now, back to making today amazing! I always remember this section from 'The Secret'... In Aladdin, you know how the Genie says, 'your wish is my command?' Think of it like this...YOU are Aladdin, and the Genie is the Universe. All along, this fairytale had the Law of Attraction down pat! To receive, you need to believe. Think of it as shopping online. You put your order in, pay for it, and then you 100% believe your package is coming right? Treat the Universe exactly the same! Tell the Universe what you want, and believe that it is coming your way. 

The power of the mind is so incredibly amazing. We literally have the power to control our lives. YOU have the power to do whatever you want in this world.

YOU have the energy you need to manifest your dreams.

You might be thinking... yeah well eventually I will manifest my dreams, and maybe one day I will get the money, or the car or the lifestyle I want. Yes... true. But start today! Small changes result in big and exciting things! 

So today... you wake up, and you want to have an AMAZING day... You want to be your best, most positive self, and you want to attract all the good, unbelievable, incredible, exciting opportunities, people and things in the world. YOU CAN! AND YOU WILL! 

Here are five ways to get started and make today AMAZING: 

  • GRATITUDE! - Say your thank yous! You're not going to attract anything new into your life if you're not thankful for what you already have! Start your day by saying out loud what you're thankful for. (It's amazing how articulating what you're thankful for makes you realise how lucky you are.   • VISUALISE! - What do you want? Spend a minute, 2 minutes, 30 minutes, however long you can, visualising EXACTLY what you want. Not only does this get you excited and motivated, but you're moving forward in more ways than you can imagine. Remember... the brain can't distinguish what is imaginary and real... so trick it!
  • DISTRACT YOURSELF - While having time to meditate, relax and visualise is amazing, one of the main rules of the Law of Attraction is to LET GO! (To let go of your wish, and to trust that it is coming.) I never understood how I was supposed to 'let go' of something that I wanted so badly! Until I did it. I got busy, and forgot... and then BAM! It came to me. So distract yourself with work, with friends, with all of the things that make you HAPPY! 
  • TREAT YOURSELF! - I've said it once and I'll say it again. Stop stressing over the money or time you 'don't have,' stop feeling guilty for eating bad, or not finishing your work that day. We're allowed to fall behind, we're allowed to be lazy, and we're allowed to spend our hard earned money! If we were never lazy, we wouldn't know what it feels like to be productive! If we never spent our money, we wouldn't know how good it felt to earn it! If we never ate bad, we wouldn't get to experience those fun times where we can let loose and indulge!  
  • TRUST THE UNIVERSE! - And finally... trust! It's so exciting that we have a higher power to lean on. For some it might be God, a loved one in Heaven, the Universe, or something completely different! TRUST that you're being guided. If you're having a bad day, or if you're not feeling inspired... remember, the Universe has a plan for you. This is just a little detour, and one day we will understand why it happened. We all have our own path, and we're all on our way, or are already there. If you're on your way, enjoy the journey, if you're already there, be thankful!

How to Deal with Negativity & Bullying

A while ago, I filmed a video for my Youtube channel about Bullying. I wanted to do this video for so long, and there were two reasons why; I wanted to help people who have been bullied, whether it's online or in person, and I wanted to teach the bullies out there a lesson! 

If you're a regular Pass Around the Smile reader, you would know that this blog is all about positivity, happiness, and self love!!! As humans in this amazing world, we are still faced with challenges and negativity in our lives. In this video I demonstrate how I was able to overcome some pretty harsh online negativity and turn it into a positive! 

You can do this with any negative situation in your life! The Universe sends us challenges, and negative situations so we can grow, and learn from them. We can't let these things in life get us down, so if you're unsure how to deal with the negative things in life, give this video a watch!

Find Your Way

I know I've mentioned it before, but the book the Manifestation Miracle is AMAZING! It actually changed my life. 

When I was living in America, I was having a really hard time adapting to the hectic 'La La Land' life. I found the whole industry competitive and judgemental, I wasn't making any good friends, I was getting frustrated with the lack of auditions and meetings, and I was getting down because I wasn't surrounded by my family, boyfriend and friends. 

I was in a rut, and I wasn't helping myself by wallowing in it. Let's face it. Sometimes it's easier to wallow in it. We don't have to make the effort to be happy and positive, we can sit there and do nothing, cry and get some attention! It's natural, normal and OKAY!

But I decided enough was enough. I was crying over the smallest of things, even though at the time they were big! I had no idea what direction to go in and all of a sudden my career path felt so wrong. 

Then I read the Manifestation Miracle. I started meditating, and through my mediation I was eventually able to quiet my mind and get the answers I had been looking for. If you don't meditate or aren't spiritual, you will probably laugh at this! I used to turn my nose up at meditation until I tried it. 

As soon as I decided to change my mind set, and start listening to my heart, literally everything changed. Within days. It was incredible, but I wasn't shocked. I knew that all I had to do was change my mind set to see changes, but what was mind blowing, was the answers I got about my career. It became so clear what I needed to concentrate on, and it happened at just the right time. If you had told me 6 years ago that acting wasn't the only thing I should concentrate on, I wouldn't have believed you. But now I can see that mentoring other actors, sharing my experiences, exploring my other creative talents, and using my profile to spread positivity have become hugely important aspects of my life and career.  

In the Manifestation Miracle they talk about how you can find your exact life path. Every single person on this Earth has a certain path cut out for them, and when we find ourselves on that path everything will feel right. In the last 4 months or so since I've been back from the States, I've felt so in touch with my life path. I feel like I'm finally on the right track and I can't tell you how AMAZING that feels! I want everyone to find their right path so we can all feel amazing together! It might take some people years and years to find the right path for them, it may take some people no time at all. 

I'm not at all saying that if you're not on your right path you won't be happy. I don't think I was following the exact path that I should have been for the last seven years, but I still don't regret anything, and I was still very happy the majority of the time. But when something feels right, you know. You are happier more often, things fall into place easily, you feel like YOU and you're sure that you're living true to yourself. 

There are no such thing as coincidences. Every time a 'coincidence' happens, it's just the Universe either trying to teach you a lesson, or steer you in the right direction. The Universe sends you many signs, so listen in and follow! 

Once you find the right path, I promise you will know, and the way I found that was through meditation and trusting my instinct. Sometimes it's scary and overwhelming to trust your instinct, because it might take you to places that make you feel uncomfortable. But see it as exciting! Where is this journey going to take you?! You have this life, so live it to the fullest, take risks and as the old saying goes, 'listen to your heart!'

Changing Your Reaction, Can Change Your Life!

As much as I talk about the Law of Attraction and how you can shape your life to be whatever you want it to be, we all know at the end of the day, some things are out of our control and happen for no reason. 

What shapes you as a person is how you REACT to the not so good things in life. 

Some people believe that because certain things in life are out of our control, that everything is out of our control. Very wrong. It's been scientifically proven for decades and decades that the Law of Attraction is just as powerful as the Law of Gravity. You just need to know how to use it. So technically, nothing is out of our control, but we are all human and can't constantly be positive, so it's very hard to control EVERYTHING in our lives. 

Like attracts like... this means that positive energy attracts positive things. Which means when you're positive, you WILL attract positivity and great outcomes. 

You know when you're able to get yourself to that state of pure happiness? Where everything is great? You're thankful for everything and feeling on top of the world? ... When you get yourself to that state, see what you attract! The results are pretty incredible!

Sometimes we can be on a positivity roll! One good thing happens so you feel good, and things start snowballing your way. One good thing after another. Sometimes in the middle there, something crappy might happen. Most of the time when bad things happen it makes sense. You could be in a bad mood, or you're saying negative things, you might be judging yourself or just feeling down. All of these things attract negative things, so it makes sense that a negative situation or circumstance would come your way. 

In saying that, sometimes it doesn't make sense. One thing you can't control is other people. Sometimes other people's actions might hurt you, or change your mood, or affect you in some way. How you react to these things make you WHO YOU ARE. You are the only person who defines you, and you are the only person who can decide whether you're having a good or a bad day. Try your hardest not to let these negative circumstances affect you. Accept it, deal with it, be thankful for it, and move on. (I know being thankful for something negative seems weird, but gratitude is one of the fastest ways to speed up the process of the Law of Attraction.) 

Sometimes it's comfortable to wallow in your bad mood. It's easy to stay mad, to have a cry or to get some attention. But you aren't helping yourself at all! Get yourself out of that state straight away, and look at the situation from an outsiders point of view. Someone is always worse off than you. Yes, what has happened sucks, but it's time to move on and change the frequency you're projecting so you can make room for good things to come your way. 

The amount we learn from negative situations and circumstances is amazing. There are so many things I look back on, and at the time I thought it was the worst thing in the world, and I was so mad and negative about it, and now I see why it happened! Everything happens for a reason, there aren't any 'coincidences' in this world, everything that happens to you has been sent to you from the Universe for a reason. I have learnt so much from all the negative things in my life that have happened. 

Try and make a huge effort when negative things do happen to move on as quickly as possible, forget about it, don't look back and do your best to get positive again!

Your life, your terms!

Do you want to be constantly happy? Constantly smiling? Constantly in awe of your own life?! Well you can be, and the only person who can help you get to that state of happiness is YOURSELF. I find this so exciting, because YOU are in charge, and YOU can make a change. You can literally create the exact life that you want with your mind, some positivity and determination. 

In this day and age, social media plays a huge part in all of our lives. We scroll through Instagram and subconsciously compare ourselves to others. 'I should be as skinny as her, I eat the same,' I should have abs like her I do the same workout,' 'I should have a car like she does, I work just as hard,' 'I wish my hair was as shiny as hers, I use the same products as her.' First of all, a lot of what you see on Instagram isn't real. People only show the best parts of their lives, and publicise snippets that they're proud of and happy about. Which is totally normal, we all do it! And while you're sitting their getting jealous about someone else's abs, or hair... someone else is envious of something you have and they don't. 

Second of all, just because someone looks happy on social media, doesn't mean they're truly happy. It goes with the saying 'everyone's fighting a battle that you don't know about.' We have to be careful not to judge people because of how they're perceived on social media. Everyone is just trying to do the same thing as you. Live their life, on their terms. So let them! 

On that note, life is not a race. And you're not going to get anywhere by comparing yourself to others whether it be your body image, a job, how much money you have, or someone else's relationship status. Change your tune from jealousy or envy, to love! Whenever you show or give love, you're going to get it back. They're living their life, you're living yours. We are all on different paths, and there is no wrong or right path! 

If you feel good right now about where you are in life, then YAY YOU! Keep going, and remember to help people on the way. If you're not feeling good about where you are right now... maybe you hate your job, or you're in a toxic relationship, be brave and make the change. Start by meditating and asking for guidance. Quiet your mind and listen to your instincts. I know the saying 'listen to you heart' sounds like an old Lizzy McGuire song, but listening to yourself really does work. Deep down, we know exactly what we need and when we need it. No one knows ourselves better than we do, so if you have an instinct that something isn't right, it isn't. 

Don't even give a thought about what people might think if you do want to go through a change. If people are judging you, then they aren't happy with their own lives, and you don't need them in your life. You will attract the right people into your life once you're living true to yourself. Once you're 100% about who you are and what you should be doing, abundance will literally flow into your life. It's so exciting that we have the power to do this, you just have to trust yourself, and trust the Universe. (Or whatever higher power you believe in.) 

IT'S YOUR LIFE! Do whatever the hell you want and whatever the hell makes you happy! And if this starts to work for you, inspire others to do the same. Helping people feels good. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

ME, MYSELF AND I

So let's talk about ourselves.

You are you for the rest of your life. You have been given this body, and this soul and you are to do with it whatever you like. So why not do good? Why not make the most of your life and do exactly what you desire?

To do good in this life, we must feel good within ourselves first. Sometimes we have to treat ourselves as first priority. It's not selfish, it's just what we need to do in order to be the best version of ourselves. 

People benefit from people, and we bounce of each others energies. Choosing where to focus your energy is important. You might not realise, but the smallest negative thought can steal a good amount of energy away from you. (Positive thoughts have a higher vibration than negative thoughts which is great! But make an effort not to give those negative thoughts the time of day.) Choose to use your energy doing and visualising the things you desire in life. 

Now, YOU! What do you want to do in life? Are you doing it now? Do you want to do more? Are you happy where you are? Do you have dreams and aspirations that haven't yet come to fruition? Here is an excerpt from a book called the 'Manifestation Miracle.' This might give you some motivation to make sure that you do everything you desire in this life. 

"An Australian hospice care nurse called Bronnie Ware, recently conducted a study of terminally ill patients who were in the final few weeks of life. In her study, Ware asked these patients whether they had any regrets and whether there was anything they would have done differently. Here’s what most people said:

“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life that was true to myself, not the life that others expected of me.”

I find this so sad. Imagine thinking that on your death bed? That you didn't live life on your own terms because of what others expected of you. Well I'm here to tell you that your life is your life and no one else's! Of course you're going to have people disagree with what you're doing with life. That will happen no matter what you do because we all have different views, values and opinions. 

In this day and age, I have heard and witnessed people not doing exactly what they desire, not because of what people expect of them, but because of what others may think about them. WHO CARES! It's time to let go, otherwise you will have so many regrets, just like these elderly people who were interviewed. 

When you're feeling a little lost in life I highly recommend reading some self help books, or the Manifestation Miracle by Heather Mathews. Mediation can also help. Quieting your mind and asking yourself what you truly desire can clear your mind and open you up to the answers you've been looking for.

Before you're ready to help other people, you need to focus on you. Figure out exactly what you want, and learn to master your thoughts and energy. Once you have, it will come naturally to help others on a spiritual path. Your energy will automatically give off positive vibes and people will be attracted to the energy you're giving off!

Snowball your Life into Happiness

It all starts with one thought, one feeling or one circumstance. 

We all have bad days, weeks, or maybe months. I'm here to tell you the easiest and most effective way to get yourselves out of these horrible ruts and turn your life around instantly. 

A friend and I were chatting yesterday about our travels and how we both got stuck in negative ruts while we were away. We felt alone and negative, which led to bad moods and negative outcomes. We were both away for months, it wasn't a holiday. (Just FYI) 

We both had a really similar path back to positivity and it made us realise how easy it is to get back to where you want to be if you have the right mind set. 

For me, it was definitely my mind set. I had in my head that I didn't like LA for many reasons. LA is an amazing place, it's exciting and there are so many opportunities over there. It wasn't until I got over the fact that I was 'alone' and in a 'tough industry' that things started to change instantly. All I did was change my mindset. Instead of thinking, 'I have no friends or family here,' or 'Why did I put myself in such a hard industry,' or 'This is a waste of time, energy and money,' I began thinking things like, 'I am here for a reason,' 'I'm thankful for the opportunities I have been given in the States,' and 'I have a bunch of friends and support over here.' 

Things honestly changed in a matter of minutes. I was so shocked, but at the same time it all made so much sense. What you put out, you get back. It's true and it's been scientifically proven so many times, so why do we not lean on this more? 

Something very similar happened to my friend. It was terrible weather where she was for a couple of weeks, which resulted in her having nothing to do. She started with one positive thought, and automatically felt better. Good things started snowballing from there... the sun even came out! When you open your mind up to positivity and possibilities, it's amazing the ideas and good thoughts that will pop into your mind. You might wonder why you hadn't thought of these things before? It's because you weren't in the right mindset, you weren't allowing yourself to be open to these ideas and thoughts. 

It's so amazing what will snowball your way when you change your mindset. The last two weeks of my America trip were incredible, and I believe I have myself to thank for that. I look back and I'm so thankful for how everything turned out. I'm even thankful for those few weeks where I was extremely negative and not wanting to be there. It's the bad times, and the negative times that shape us! It's how we deal with them, how we react to them and how we move on from them that make us learn and grow. 

Don't choose to give your negative feelings the time of day. Try your best to ignore them and train your mind to think of the positive outcomes, and how this negative situation might be helping you in the long run. We learn and grow so much from all our experiences, and we don't realise until it's over. 

So to snowball your life into happiness, start with one positive thought, and believe it. Enjoy the ride from there!

A Balanced Life = A Happy Life

"Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony." - Thomas Merton.

Family, friends, health, diets, fun, sleep, study, work, exercise. All of these factors are vital to a person's overall happiness. To some people balance comes naturally, to others it's a struggle.

You can work out how you need to balance your life quite simply. Grab some paper and a pen, and write across the top all the things that are important to you. Underneath, rate them out of 10, 1 being not important and 10 being extremely important. Under this, create another column with the same titles, but this time you're going to rate in percentage how much time you're giving each factor at the moment. Eg: DIET - 30% SOCIAL LIFE - 90% - WORK - 60% Here, it would become clear to me that I need to put more effort into my diet, and focus less on my social life, which should leave me more time to concentrate and improve on the work side of things. 

One thing to keep in mind is that everyone will have different expectations. You might rate the importance of work 90%, I might rate it 60%. Either way, there is no right or wrong. You know how to best balance your life in order to make yourself happy. Once you've done your list, have a good look at it, and think how you can best shift your life to make room for the more important things in your life. This isn't supposed to be a chore, or an assignment, so it's not like you now plan your week/months/lives around this. Take it in, and subconsciously your mind will become aware of what is more important to you, and what is less. Next time you're out you might find yourself thinking, 'I better leave the shops now and finish that assignment so I can get a good sleep', whereas before it wouldn't have even crossed your mind.  

Another thing that you may experience while you're trying to maintain a balanced life, is guilt. I have gone through it myself, and I have seen my family and friends go through it as well. An example of this is dieting. You might feel guilty because you're out with friends and end up having a few drinks, or a piece of the birthday cake, or you might feel guilty because you have some chocolate after dinner. Here's where balance can put our guilty minds to rest. It's a healthy lifestyle choice to have a balanced diet. I'm not a dietician, and of course it's going to be more beneficial to your body if you just eat veggies, meat, salad etc. But we should never feel guilty for treating ourselves every now and then. Let's face it, it's more fun and a lot more tasty when we do! As long as you're getting in your five food groups, there is no reason why you can't let go and enjoy yourself. Balance is the key! 

Along with figuring out the most important factors in your life, it's also important to figure out where your energy is going. It's so easy to give our energy to things we don't necessarily need or want to give it to. The two main things that I find take my energy is work and people. Your energy is important because you need it to live and to be yourself! Unfortunately there are negative people in this world, and their energy can drain you of your energy. Sometimes we have to be around these people, so it's important that you either change the subject, or try your very hardest to not let their negative energy, draw yours. As another example, if your work situation is draining your energy, concentrate on balance and how best you can even this situation out. You could go do some yoga and meditation on your lunch break, or talk to your boss about the work load. If your work is draining your energy to the point of no help, maybe it's time to consider another job. If it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't. There's something better out there that you were born for, you just need to figure out what that something is!

Remember, the only person who can make you 100% happy is you!  You're the only one who knows what you really want and need in this life, and you deserve just that. So put time into figuring out your life. Once you do, act on it and you will start to be the most positive and happy version of yourself! Live the life that you want, and on your terms.
